The Village
News staff is alway excited to hear about something new going
on in our area. By "our area" we mean the eastern half
of Chesterfield County. Our mission of "Your community, your
neighbors, your news," says it all: we cover our community
with news that concerns those within our readership area. With
that said, by all means send us your news tips or other information
that needs to be shared. SUBMIT
NEWS:
As stated above keep it local. If you have news about schools,
government, your neighborhood or something new about to happen
let us know. News about your sports team, field trip or award,
while interesting and newsworthy may be difficult for us to come
out and cover. We have an extremely small staff.
We suggest that you take some pictures and get the facts and submit
them to us. We'll put it together and run it in the Village News.
We apologize for not be able to cover everything but we're a small
concern, although we would like for your special news to get the
attention it deserves.

Wedding, birth, anniversary or engagement announcements are encouraged.
Please let us know about the milestones in your life. We will
run a photo and about 150 words in an announcement. Due to some
lengthy submittals in the past we ask that if you need more space
for your beyond two columns by six inches that you pay for the
additional space. Copy over 150 words in $.30 per word. Color
photo insertion is $50.00. There is no guarantee of publication
date. Most people can fit quite a bit in the space allotted. Click

highest resolution or file size that you can. Call us if you need
clarification. WHAT'S
UP:
Submittals for the What's Up department of the paper, which is
in the Arts and Entertainment section are primarily limited to
events or meetings and should about 100 words in length. Click
here to send a What's Up item. CALENDAR:
Send us your calendar item at least one week prior to the date
(every Thursday) of the issue in which you would like it to appear.
Don't forget the date, time, location and brief discription of
the event and a contract phone number. It's as easy as that. Click
